DEMEROL is indicated for the relief of moderate to severe pain. DEMEROL is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to meperidine or any ingredient. Meperidine is contraindicated in patients who are receiving monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors or those who have recently received such agents.
